Using historic paintings, engravings and photographs, students reenacted each scene with contemporary photos to compare the modern Camino de Santiago to the past, allowing you to see the locations side-by-side with a slideable overlay effect.

Abbey of Santa María la Real de Las Huelgas

The Plaza del Grano is located in the old town of the city of León. Although it is popularly known as Plaza del Grano, its official name is Plaza de Santa María del Camino, since it is located behind the homonymous church. Its current name is due to markets where grain was sold and other products from the field that took place here.

Graffiti on the final day walking to Santiago de Compostela, originally on the path in the 2015 study abroad trip, was whitewashed in 2017.

The monastery of San Martiño Pinario (San Martín Pinario in Castilian) is a Benedictine monastery in the city of Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. It is the second largest monastery in Spain after San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Little remains of the original medieval buildings, as the monastery has been largely rebuilt since the sixteenth century.
